Hoping everything goes swimmingly

In the past I've asked David to build some pretty crazy things for me but this takes the cake. Our son was turning 5 years old and we wanted to give him a birthday party to remember. So we booked the pool and the party room, made invitations and bought food but something was missing. One night it came to me; we needed a submarine!

You might not know it but our family is huge on being in and around the water. When I met my husband I was a lifeguard and he had taught me to surf. We got married at the beach and David built our wedding arch. Whether playing in the rain, swimming in the ocean or boating at the lake were all in!

Most of our vacations have some activity to do with the water. Cody was in the water before he could walk. So naturally when I told David to build him a submarine for his birthday, he saw what I had in mind, shrugged and said "sure thing"!

So if you have a wild idea in mind for your next project don't feel like you're asking for the moon. If I can get a submarine in under a week you can get the project of your dreams exactly how you envisioned it. When he says it, he means it. There really is no project to big or too small. Just ask and he will tell you honestly how to make it possible. Cody loved having his Octonaut submarine at his party. And this part makes me feel really great. Once he grew tired of it as children often do, Cody wanted to donate it to the pool day-care where the party took place.
